David Sharples Joins Parallelspace Corporation As Vice President of Business Development

To meet the increasing customer demand for Parallelspace Corporation’s family of Truly Collaborative™ business solutions, the company has hired industry veteran David Sharples as Vice President of Business Development in addition to hiring additional product development staff.

TORONTO, CANADA – June 1, 2002 – Parallelspace Corporation, a leading provider of business collaboration solutions and services, today announced that David Sharples has been appointed Vice President, Business Development. Sharples, an industry veteran with nearly 20 years of sales and marketing experience, is responsible for accelerating Parallelspace’s sales growth in the enterprise, government, and small and medium size business markets worldwide.

Previously, Sharples held the positions of General Manager, Lotus Canada and General Manager of the IBM Canada Lotus Business Unit where he managed the sales of many successful messaging and collaboration solutions based on Lotus Notes, Domino.doc, and Learning Space.

Sharples began his high tech sales and marketing career at Toshiba Canada, where he was National Director of the Information Systems Group’s corporate and channel sales divisions. During his tenure, Toshiba captured the No.1 market share position seven out of the 8 years of David’s involvement. In addition, David Sharples served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Thinksmith, a document collaboration start-up, as well as Director of Marketing at Borland Software.
